Did you know that the word humanitarian is not only a noun, but is also an adjective?  Being a humanitarian means living in an active state of caring and compassion.  Take a moment to reflect on how amazing you felt the last time you helped someone.  Now imagine how you would feel if this was a more common characteristic of yourself.  How much more self-worth would you feel?  Would you feel less depression and stress and more empowerment flowing from your fingertips?

There are so many ways to get out and help people.  All you have to do is decide what issues speak to you.  What stirs you up inside?  Poverty?  Natural disasters? Hunger?  Injustice?  Find what is calling to you and make a change!  Your actions don’t have to be ground-breaking, nobel peace prize winning.  You simply have to care.

“The only thing that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” -Edmund Burke
