Looking Back

For those of you who follow me on instagram, you know that I just filled and finished my journal.  If you haven’t seen the post, check it out here: instagram.  As I cracked open the pages of my new book, and wrote a preface if sorts, I decided I needed to go back and reread the last journal.  That journal was the first time I’d ever had to combine business and writing inside one bound cover, and I was curious to go back and reread some of my business ideas and notes.  I figured I should look back and carry over some important thoughts and ideas into this new journal.

I should also mention that it has been just over a year since I signed my lease on Pineapple Studios, which ironically enough, was the first journal entry.  It was an immediate flashback to my old apartment in Greenville as I sat on my bed and began writing.  I remember opening to the first page of the journal and putting all my fears, excitement, and nerves into words.  As I skimmed through these early pages of writing I couldn’t help smiling at budget lists, scribbled motivational quotes, and pictures of coffee cups and hotel rooms.  It was exactly this time last year that all my dreams were leaping off paper and becoming real.  August will mark the one year anniversary of renovations and the transformation we now know was Pineapple Studios.  I think a party is in order!!

One year down… infinite more to go.
