The Troy-Bumpas Inn was a lucky find on my yoga trip to Greensboro. I gambled against the Hyatts and Best Westerns and took a chance on a little B&B I found online. The result: a quiet room with a private balcony, hardwood floors, and a whirlpool tub. Best. Decision. Ever.
The Inn was built and run by the Bumpas family starting in 1847 and housed many soldiers, both Yankee and Confederate, at the end of the Civil War. The house stayed in the Bumpas family for 128 years before being listed for sale. The inn had a few owners and help from the historic preservationists before current owners, Judy and Larry, purchased the inn in September 2011.
While in Greensboro I also went to Splurges Boutique and had the best shopping day ever. I’m not much of a shopper but this boutique was so adorable, had loads of locally made jewelry, and the most gorgeous sweaters I’ve ever seen.
After a relaxing Thursday evening, and a very busy Friday at the Prenatal Training, it was time for me to rush home to Greenville for the Halloween Express Fashion Show. Moxie Promotions ROCKED IT! The show was pure perfection… complete with strobe lights and “dead” models. It’s been a fantastic weekend and it’s only Saturday afternoon!
