Fun fact: I always wanted to be a writer. By now you’ve seen about ten thousand images of my journal; whether it’s me with my journal, a journal entry, my journal alongside a cup of coffee, or resting near my mat while I move through a yoga practice. I love to write, but it’s hard to fit it into my already very structured and disciplined day. As I thumbed through past journal entries I came across this image that I know I’ve shared with you before, but I laughed at how rarely I take my own advice. I have the power to make all of my passions fit into this life. As do you. With that said, I hope you’ll allow me the opportunity to write more. I’d like to use this blog as a platform to write a bit more personally. I’d like to see the blog find a balance between studio events, inspiration, and vulnerability. I’d like to be honest with you, because if you’re reading, then you deserve it.
You’ll also be seeing a new body of work from me in the gallery mid-April. I’ll be shamelessly putting my journal entries right there on a coffee cup and on a shelf for the world to see. Why? Because I want to connect. I think it’s exhausting to always put my “best face forward”. I hope you enjoy the nitty gritty, the moments in the sun, and the sincerity. I look forward to knowing you better.
