The 3rd Annual Clay Games is HERE! Let the Mayhem begin!
This ultra playful event is guaranteed to be the most fun, and certainly our silliest event of the year. Imagine- a wild and wacky version of the Great Pottery Throwdown, This Olympics style event will put your wackiest clay skills to the test. Potters of all levels are welcome- you do not need to be a clay expert to compete! AND, this event is open to non-studio clay folks in the area. Potters will be divided into teams for a day of challenges, relay style events, and a whole lot of chaos. We’ll have prizes, multiple clay challenges, a winning team, and even an awards ceremony.
The clay games are taking place Saturday 8/9 from 12-3pm. The items made in our challenges will not be kept- we’ll be recycling any clay used in that day. We’ll have everything you need but you are welcome to bring your own tools if you’d prefer!
One final reminder- this event is about FUN. You don’t need to be an expert to join, but we do suggest having a basic knowledge of centering to participate. We will need a minimum headcount for this event to be a success, so don’t be shy. Join us for what is sure to be one of the best days on the wheel!
