6 week series- Tuesday Beginner

THIS CLASS OFFERING IS HELD AT 1018 N FOURTH ST

Well, look at you planning to try something new! This beginner class series is perfect for anyone brand new to clay or revisiting it after a long hiatus. You’ll be treated to a mix of thorough demos, and plenty of time hands on.

Who this class is for: clay newbies! We start from scratch in this beginner series, so there are no prerequisites to take this class. This class is great for anyone looking to try a new hobby, looking to get out and meet new people, or perhaps a perfectionist looking to lighten up a bit. Whatever led you here, we’re happy to have you!

Additional requirements include: Willingness to make a mess (and then clean up said mess), flop a few pieces, strike up a conversation with your classmates, and enjoy the bliss of a beginner’s mindset. Must be 16yrs or older.

The cost of this series is $165.00 and does not include the cost of clay. Your series includes 6, 2 hour classes with thorough instruction. This also includes use of shared community tools, glaze materials, and kiln firings. You'll also receive your own shelf for storing your in-progress work.

Clay, with taxes included, is $21.40 for a 25lb bag. Plenty to last through your series! Please be prepared to purchase your bag of clay on night 1 of your class series. Clay MUST be purchased through Pineapple Studios to ensure proper firing for your lovely creations!

This series meets 6 consecutive Tuesdays from 6-8pm. Enrolled students have access to purchase and reserve independent work time during Open Studio hours Monday-Thursday 11-6pm and Friday-Saturday from 11-3pm. These hourly reservations are $4/hr, a perfect way to further explore your clay technique. Information on independent work reservations are given on the first night of classes.

Please note that week 6 is our glaze week. Missing this class night will require you to join a glaze workshop, or set up a private lesson with us at an additional fee.
